Cosy vibes, kind staff and I loved the personalised takayama guide including the zines celebrating Taiwanese culture. The sticky rice and tea was 10/10

The ambience is lovely, the food good, the service kind! Prices are proportionate. Both the carrot cake and cheesecake are delicious

I can’t describe how well the owner, a lady from Taiwan, treated me. First of all, I arrived 10 minutes before the closing time, but it was so cold (that day even if it was April, it snowed) that the owner must have felt sorry for me and let me in, insisting me to stay meanwhile she cleaned and set everything up for the closure. I had a finger bleeding from a small cut, and after I cleaned it she helped me covering it with a band aid. Then she searched for other coffee shops with longer closing hours in the evening so I could go after this one. And lastly, out of nowhere, she gave me for free some auto heated bands as that night was very cold and I was sleeping on a tent. Really it felt like being with my grandma, and not only because of the cousy place and amazing drawings and books. Can’t be thankful enough !!

What a little gem! Such a delight, it was the perfect way to start the day. The owner provides the friendliest service you could ever ask for. The Kenyan and Guatemalan coffees, plus the amazing baked cheese cake we had were exceptional :)

This is easily one of my new fave cafes! Shame I was in Takayama for only a short time! I discovered them at the street market. I bought the pork/sticky rice balls and decided to check out the cafe and am glad I did! The coffee was delicious, and I LOVED the tofu pudding! The cafe itself is cute, with all kinds of travel theme books/notes/ ect as well as fun art books to look through. Also owner and staff are super friendly! Loved it
